I saw the movie Elysium Yesterday, after I upgraded my PB to B1, and played for the first time beta in ED.
Not a big deal about the movie, it was well done and good entertaining. However the Space station was interesting.

I like the drones and robots, and I really hope that ED will have some of that later on, and the rings was also very well done I might add.

there you go, fixed for you in the quote. you need to use bb code, HTML isnt enabled. go advanced when you edit and use the icon that looks like a sun over the mountains to add an image (you'll need to copy the link before clicking the icon as it locks you to the page)

also if you wrap large images in the spoiler tag it makes the thread easier to read as you can close it down when your done and hide them out of the way.

now that's out of the way back to the point.

yes, i see what you mean - i would't read anything into it though, there are only so many ways you can design a space station. not having artificial gravity except that generated by spin reduces the possibilities still further.

ED already have ring stations... don't know about the robots though, AI seems to be banned in the ED universe.

Yes, due to some rather horrible incidents in the past AI and AI research is pretty much banned. When we trade ´´Robotics´´ that means stuff like industrial assembly robots, and such. Even those are forbidden in some places (I think).

This is also why real pilots have to fly the kamikaze coffins (federal fighters), the only way to make automated ships is by having them being remote controlled, and anvanced jamming technology make these useless in a fight.

Maybe the Butlerian Jihad happened in the ED Universe as well. And maybe, the thargoids are really the machines coming back...
