Maybe but remember scientists real or otherise have a hard time associating themselves with anything commercial and or deemed to be or better potentially perceived as being pseudoscience for fear of losing their "status" in the scientific community.

Wherever that be the case, or not, it would be still good to have him along for the ride. Imagine bumping into him beside some obscure star & then striking up a conservation with him, as you both watched its hydrogen atoms fuse into helium. :)

Well Tyson has a pretty beaten track record of being an 'ambassador' of astrophysics, and interacting with the public often has some commercial associations whether it be the aforementioned comic book crossover or the recent Cosmos redo.

But I bet he's the kind of guy who's very prejudiced against simulated participatory violence. If Dangerous caught his eye he might not be able to see past the shooting.

Even if it is wrong or right... I still stick by my Pluto comments.

I'm 44 now, but I've been keen on astronomy since I was 7 & it was always "the solar system has 9 planets", but I couldn't give two hoots about it now being eight, with Pluto being relegated, let the truth prevail is what I say, rather that, then living a lie with a non-planet/lump of ice named after Mickey Mouse's dog/Roman God.

You can't stop the evolution of science.

I bet you're the kind of guy who likes squirrels more than nuts. I have no idea what I'm talking about, but that's what I got from you.

Yeah, just listened to an episode of his Star Talk radio program exclusively about video games.

Tyson was skeptical of violent content but not as negative and immediately dismissive as I figured he'd be.

He's a pretty optimistic guy, I thought seeing a simulated future scenario where terrestrial violence and greed have simply been imported to the stars might not interest him.
