and thought it relevant to a lot of discussion lately between people with different ideas on the values of limitations within sandbox games, and how those limitations can provide opportunity and meaningful choices while at the same time not limiting the freedom of the sandbox.
I was thinking about how the E:D DDF will respond to emergent stuff in the Elite verse and when to roll with stuff and when to close an exploit or end a dynamic that might be bad for some reason.
A lot of the debates on this issue seems to reflect ideas about how people relate to their environment that come across in this article. Anyway some seemingly relevant real world news.
