Empire progression broken?

So I'm trying to get to Baron so I can pick up the Clipper, but I can't seem to find the Squire progression mission. I've been at Master for well over a week, have visited a ton of different empire systems, and done a bunch of other random missions, yet I never see the next progression mission.

I do keep seeing the imperial summons mission under the available but unobtainable heading, but I already have the permit and can not accept again.

Is this a bug? Has anyone else found the Master - Squire mission lately?

If it matters I am allied with several Empire sub-factions but still neutral with the Empire itself.

Just keep carrying out missions for the empire. I'm allied to only two empire controlled spaceports and I'm ranked as a count. The naval progression missions will appear eventually. I kept getting the unobtainable summons missions throughout...

I find this funny because it's people that want this rank progression to be able to be topped out in 3 days that are the same people that open threads the next week saying "I'm bored....this game sucks".

I don't know that "keep plugging away" is guaranteed to work. I've been a baron for almost a month now and I don't think I've left Empire space in all that time. I'm allied with the Empire proper and every empire system I fly in to automatically recognizes me as an ally.

So Baron Issmir it is.

Never said I wanted to be able to complete in a couple ofor days, was more just trying to confirm that the imperial summons mission bug wasn't keeping me from being eligible to receive the next progression mission.

Since it sounds like this isn't the case, guess it's back to grinding trade for me. Just hope the next mission shows up before I end up with enough cash for the type 9...

Well I can't guarantee it will work either, but I can say it worked for me, and it only took a few hours ;)
