Empire Rank?

Alright, so I'll admit, ever since I bought my Adder last year and moved to my new home (I originally lived in Chaxiraxi) I've been neglecting Empire rank. Currently sitting at Petty Officer for the Feds, I'd really like to start making my way through the Empires ranks as well. I could really enjoy the use of a Clipper. Where's a good spot to grind? I've got a decent 192t Python that can do pretty much anything at the moment

Tamar.

TBH I just wouldn't bother.
Rank grind is the worst grind in the game currently and that's saying something considering the other grind.

I would wait till post 2.4 and hope FD realize how painful increasing rank is and rework it to not be as arduous.
That or sort the missions out so there's at least fun to be had ranking up rather than a mix of mode switching, delivery missions and donation missions which crash the game.

^^ This.
You can try Wu Gunagi if you still want to grind, but really, beware of the burn out !

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

Exactly this.

Well I ran Sothis for about 2 days and was okay, I don't get burned out tooooo fast (luckily). I'll look into these systems!

Tamar has various Empire systems close by including CD 37 641 which is also good. I got to King in Tamar and surrounding systems.

I used Wuthielo Ku and surrounding areas. I found that taking missions between Ogoni, Wuthielo Ku, No Cha, and Serrod kept me busy and ranking up nicely. If none are in boom or famine (which give better reputation missions), then I'd find another system that was - in practise, I only had to do that once. Used a Python for most of it, had 192t cargo and two passenger cabins. It took a while, but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and could afford an A-rated fully engineered Cutter once I'd reached Duchess. :)

However, after 2.3.10 dropped, the overall qty of missions at Wu Guinagi and even Quince had dropped to a trickle to the extent where with the exception of Massacre and Sightseeing passenger missions (assuming Allied status with the factions), there is just nothing worth doing. Apparently they've been properly "rebalanced" this time around. Last few times I've docked at Zeigel Port, the entire board had 4-5 missions total, however, there were plenty passenger missions. Each of those passenger missions will take at least an hour or more with 4-5 stops across the bubble, plus the ultra long-range missions to the Core and beyond for the overachievers amongst us.

If you thought ranking up was fun before, it'll be downright bliss from now on...:)

VIP transportation missions are currently rewarding +++ reputation. IMO it's more interesting because you are visiting systems and if you have several cabins you need to work out the planning of the trips. And also these missions are paying really good once allied with minor factions. I used to set up my base of operations in Cubeo (home of Aisling Duval BTW).

I grinded the Clipper and Cutter separate times bet Wu Guinagi and HIP 10716 - the latter took longer, and heed Jethro49's warning about burn out. I have witnessed 2 CMDRs stop playing after grinding.
