Newcomer / Intro Empire ranking

Where is the best system for fast Empire ranking? I am currently Lord, and I only get 0,5% increase for missions I do for the Empire.
Is there a fast and fun way to rank up? Or is CR donation the fastest way?

Hi, If you have Horizons, and really need to rank up fast, you can try Aditi. It's a remote system an the fringes of the bubble. The stations and bases, there offer a lot of courier and delivery missions to the nearby (11LY) system, that hs a name I can't pronounce. And they offer missions on the way back. If you spend some time there and befriend them by doing those, it can be really profitable both rep and money-wise.

Thank you! I will try that. Do you know if there is CR donation missons there to?

They appear, there, from time to time, yes. But Courier missions are where it is at. If you stop by every station and base in a system, you'll have 15-20 of them, easily. Deliver them to the other system (There's only one planetary base there), collect missions for Aditi and return there. The trick is not in a per-mission rep income, but in the fact that you are able to do 80 of them in an hour. Do it for two hours and you have a rank.

Then go seek out a medical help. :D

The last tip there is crucial! I guess people with white coats will come get me when I finally reach Duke rank [wacky]

Your not far off there bro - I done the imperial navy ranks at Hip 10716 - cant remember the station name but it was planetary assault missions google will find the article I worked off of, and Cubeo, mixing up donation missions and ground assaults. Hot on the heels of getting my duke rank I demonstrated my first signs of space madness going up to 17 Draconis with an over stuffed cheque book and donating most of my earnings from grinding the duke of rank to the federation to gain the rank of rear admiral.

A lot of rank grinding in not a lot of time.[hotas]

When I returned to shinrarta dhezra I went to buy both the big navy ships, and had to spend a rather large amount of time in the cosy lined waiting room of the shipyard. They took good care of me and gave me a nice cozy jacket to stop me getting cold - pity it was of an obscure cultural fashion with the sleaves sewn onto the shoulders. [wacky]

I think I have a good plan on getting to Duke, and the Cutter, at a decent rate. Got to Baron now, And I hope to be Viscount in the next hoour or two :)

If you're a Baron, now, I would also recommend stopping for a bit when you feel like it and enjoy the Clipper. ;)
She's an outstanding ship!

I dont doubt that. What ship would you compare her to? :)

Hmm, hard to say. She's really a one of a kind. Maybe she feels a bit like a big Viper, actually. Fast as hell, very decent pitch rate. A very decent weaponry, though you can't equip fixed guns. The shields, even the A7 ones are a bit on the underwhelming side, but stay quick and it doesn't matter. A proper "Boom and zoom" ship.
Also a decent trader, in fact. Better than T7.

One of my all time favourite ships the Clipper, largest ship I've flown that doesn't feel like it is stuck in treacle. Mine is a multi-role set-up but mostly trade and has a boost speed just under 440! Hard points are miles apart so fixed weapons can only be used in combination with gimbled unless you only ever want to long range snipe or miss with one of them all the time. I use gimbled but not all do.
.
I will join you in the grind soon though as I'm about Baron + 80% and would rather like a Cutter at some point.

there are other ways too, you can:

1. Find an Empire state in civil war and stack kill missions, that gives you a lot of reputation/rank gain and money
2. There are factions that give out a ton of mining missions e.g. the Gaunab system so stack a load of those and recieve good money + rep for factions aligned to Empire
3. Soon you will be able to do passenger missions

Trick is to earn money and not to burn out whilst gaining rank because it does take time even if you try to sprint through it, so try to mix and match different methods don't do too many data delivery missions or donations it will drive you nuts

Shui babassi (or similarly named) was the main source for me. Lots of courier missions to 1 system across.

It did feel like a grind so I highly recommend to take some other ships out there with you (once ship transfers become a thing) so you can swap out and fly combat or whatever in-between.

Yes ^^
Aditi has two big stations (with very funny names :D ) and two or three surface bases, all with large pads.
The nearby system (Synuefe something, or so) has only one planetary settlement with two large pads, so expect some queuing if you're there in a rush hour.

Hmmm, is the "computer's memory" (for data delivery) in any way dependent on the cargo capacity of the ship?
As I can only accept some 25 missions or so (but this way is indeed wonderful imperial rank grinding, thanks!)

There is a limit, yes. You can only have 20 active missions at a time.
But it isn't in any way related to the cargo. It's just a cap to prevent us doing what we are doing even more effectively. :p
