so far, every mission has asked me to trade but this one, if i want to get above master rank, i have to do an assassination, anyone done this mission and know what im going to be fighting? like an elite anaconda or something? and if so would an ok-decent fitted viper be enough?

competent difficulty probably. It will be a clipper is it says its a traitor general, might be a drop ship if its an enemy, I got a clipper.
Viper is fine to kill everything in the game, if you are good enough

yeah, thats a good tip, it probably wont be wanted. Make sure you haven't turned off "report crimes against me"

guess ill give it a shot then, bleh, cant wait til i can afford my python, hate having to maintain two ships, would be nice to get one that can do anything decently
For Empire I think its a Clipper every time. I managed to finish the mission with an Eagle. After he attacks you the only thing you need to do is to run around for 3-5 minutes. Then enforcement ships come and attack the general. I just helped them a little and the general was dead
