empire ranks ???

I mined & FedEx my way up to a type-6 but not having found any good trade routes where I am the boards now only offer me kill missions or FedEx missions that don't cover fuel cost didn't want to go down the bounty hunter route but it looks like it forces you too to go up thru ranks will never get that clipper ?. So I've traded the type6 back to a croba mk3 looks like its back too mining
