Employee workspace

As we could already see in the livestream, the janitor went all over the place [big grin]

Especially with the entertainers, i would like to keep them in a specifik area of the park. Will there be a tool just like in RCT3 where i can assign them to a specifik area?

You mean the thing w/ the footprints ? Which might end up being grid based again as I don't see it trying to be anything else w/ the path system we have in PC currently

Well, since guests can leave trash and puke outside the park, you might not want to limit the Janitors to only inside the park, lol

I just want an intelligent AI that would patrol all the park and clean it up...

Let's hope that we'll have administrative buildings, rest area for employees, etc.

Really? I was kind of hoping for staff break rooms in PC. Ever played Theme Hospital? That game had really cool staff management, with fully pimped out break rooms, and also training rooms with a really cool "teaching" system

(the guy playing is not very good but it shows the training system)

Well, I'd be ok with them in PC because I could put them underground and not have to see them.

I'd even happily put just one of each staff building in, if they held unlimited staff.

I never used the "patrol path" feature much. Maybe on the occasional breaky-downy ride. But normally had enough staff, and the AI was good enough to take care of the park with little fuss.

RCTW's staff AI is ridiculous.

To see how annoying the staff buildings are!

[squeeeeee] [squeeeeee]

No, I never play RCTW... and I don't think I'll.

But, I was thinking exactly the same as creaper... I was thinking about Theme Hospital. I like the break rooms and it could be fun to have something like this.

And I would like to have administrative building because there's in real world and it's part of management of a theme park to have them and manage to hide these from guests.

I always find the simulation and management aspect of previous RCT boring because it doesn't seems to be a real park. It's just the fun part with rides, shops, etc. without ever have the feeling to manage a real park like stocks, administrative building, staff, etc.

It doesn't have to be over complicated, but I really hope to have more to manage than just put thrill rides that will automatically make a lot of cash and to have to really care and manage needs of guests. In previous game, the guests could indicate a lot of time about lack of toilet, but it doesn't do anything. Everyone like all the restaurant, etc.

It would be so cool to have challenging experience as a manager.

I would like the staff to have facility buildings for various things like a break room, etc. These would be perfect for putting into the unthemed back-lots of buildings on your main street and other areas. I feel it would add a little more to the staff management to have a requirement for these facilities as well as all the good stuff such as rides and coasters.

I really like the idea of some management/utility buildings you have to tuck around the park. A staff break-room is a good example. It can have a clear interaction with the simulation (distance staff travel to take break, quality of room effects moral) while providing a fun design challenge of where to put it and how to hide it away if you are doing a themed park.

I also would love a management tool for "zoning" employee work areas, like an improved take on the footprint tool in the old RCT.

I also really want staff related buildings so;

Park Management Office (Control and can be selected to get to your stats and all that rather than just a UI menu button)
Training Centre (To train all your staff where you higher a guest speaker/trainer)
Conference Room (marketing)
Staff Room (So staff can have a break, relax and start/end of shift. Ideally a locker room would be attached to see them change by doing a superman spin say from casual clothes to their work attire just for some fun/animation etc)
medical centre (people get taken here when really sick (food poisoning/bee or ant stings, heat stroke, nausea etc) and if really ill a helicopter flies in and collects the guest.
Maybe fire station, this could be from bush fire if heat wave or just a ride breakdown and evacuation
Security office (security cameras maybe, certainly a place for the security staff to appear as such if not in the management but thinking similar to Prision Architecture where you can place CCTV to try and catch shop lifters, vandals and similar)

I think that covers the most part of what would really add to the management. It does kind of go with being able to have natural disasters as an option or part of scenario as in really hot days that may cause bush fires or rain with flooding etc.

Regards,

Adam

...and the entertainers could be sitting there with their character heads off, smoking and stuffing their faces with chips and soda, the janitors can be picking their noses and having a snack, all while complaining about how much they hate their jobs and how little they get paid to deal with the crazy guests.[happy]
