Employees? im confused about how they work.

Can someone please ELI5 me on employee management?
Example:
I build a Chief beef. It comes with a vendor.
fast forward some time, vendor gets tired and leaves.

I hire 1 more vendor (even with just the 1 chief beef).
still getting messages the place is empty.

Tried hiring 6 vendors and having 1 shop. still empty
Built an entire park, like 30 some shops/stores

hired 1 additional vendor for every shop i place. STILL HAVE EMPTY SHOPS
I'm tearing my hair out here!

Thank you all for your time.

Is your park open?

I think shops stay empty when there are no guests to serve.
I think fast selling shops get priority for new fit vendors.

Also, do you have staff buildings?

These are required to give the staff energy. Otherwise they would just complain and leave.

Vendors, Mechanics, Security, Cleaning Staff & Entertainers now loose energy, happiness etc while working, and this can be variant. - With the recent Planet Coaster Anniversary Update, and the addition of extra Staff Management including Staff Buildings, they now are required, and expected to take breaks every so often. - This means that if their happiness is down, their energy is low, etc they will need to locate a Staff Building, and go to rest and recover their energy or happiness. Vendors now also wander around the park if they do not have a Shop or something to be stationed at.
It really depends on their break time, but sometimes a Shop may be unattended for a long, or short amount of time. Sometimes, a new Vendor arrives at a shop, and will immediately attend to that shop, while the previous Vendor locates their Staff Building.

Hope this helps you, and that you understand!

And setting up some work rosters for your vendors might help: include a staffroom, food shop, drink shop, gift shop, and one or two extra vendors. This makes it more likely that a vendor'll be available to take over when one's taking a break.

Currently (AFAIK) there's no way to tell a vendor to go on break, they do it when their energy level drops to a certain point, so it's nearly impossible to stagger their shifts. One way is to put down the first stall in the group, wait till the vendor's energy is down by about a quarter or third, put down the next stall in the group, wait again, put down the third stall, wait till the first vendor goes on break, then hire a spare vendor for the group. Hopefully the devs'll give us a few more controls soon so it's easier.

Nobody mentioned that you can disable staff from getting tired so they wont leave there shops (its in options just disable Staff Management) just incase you find it easier

Well, it has like 1400 people in it, it cycles through open/closed and more and more keep coming.. that counts as open right? (Parks open 7-10) i think?

And yes, i have 6 staff buildings with high capacity placed strategically near the shops i place down.

I did not know that possibility. I'll do it right now. I do not want to spend so much time worrying about park staff. Do you know if you can open a ride without having to test first?

Thank you very much for your help

all that does is stop you from having to place a staff building. Unfortunately They still leave shops just as if the Staff feature is left on.

That does sound odd. I'd suggest raising it as a bug report (if you think it's a bug!) or in the suggestion forum if you think it's something that is probably working as designed but could be improved.
