Empty, but occupied, cargo slots

I have some cargo slots used, as far as the commodity system totals is concerned. However, they all seem to be empty. Indeed, I have even sold all my cargo containers, and then rebought them, all to no avail. This is the second time it has happened to me. The first time, as it happens, I soon got wiped out by a bandit, and my replacement ship was fine.

Anyway, does anyone know how to solve the problem? I am not sure I want to force a new ship, because my 'insurance' payment is over 250K.

Apparently the servers were having a funny last night just before 8pm - is the ghost cargo from that time?
If so it might be worth posting in the sticky about it on this board.

If not I dunno! Still sounds like an issue with cargo ghosts that we've seen before when the servers go wonky..
I'd say open a ticket - but you might be stuck with the problem for a while!

Hopefully someone else can help you more!
Either way good luck

It could have been - I was playing just after it came up again. The problem with these sorts of bugs is that they are very difficult to reproduce, because you don't see it happening, and it may be quite a while before you even notice.

I do recall similar bugs during the alpha and beta, so I'm not exactly surprised, but it is a right royal pain. If no work around appears, I will probably deliberately kill myself, though there is no point in doing that until I have run up a repair bill.

I eventually found that the 6 used-up-but-not-in-the-hold slots were shown in the cargo panel as having a rare item in it. One that I had sold some time before. And one that was not showing on the commodity screen. So I ejected them from the cargo panel (even though I was docked) and my problem was over.
