your chair is actually empty as well ;)
but when FPS expansion comes out there will be possible to fill every chair, am not sure if you can hire npc to work inside your ship at initial release but later it should be available, so there are empty chairs and big plans for each of them ;)

It is good they don't have a table, for an empty table is worse than an empty chair. And with that said, time for breakfast!

I suppose there will be more of empty chairs, in the passenger ships, according to the passengers number on a journey

if you're in an anaconda you've missed a chair, there is one right at the front of the ship as well. it's just under the nose and must get an amazing view. you can see it when in outfitting.

I've often wondered about that viewport in the nose of the anaconda... Seems rather too well fortified judging by the amount of ships I've successfully rammed!

Yes we need a lot more activities on board, in the docking bay, in the stations, planetside.

Can't wait until we can get out of our chair and walk around.
