Enable "Esc Menu" and Exiting the game when in Jump modes.

Ok, 2x the last day did I had the following issue:

The game was getting stuck in the screens when I exited supercruise and when I jumped to another system.
In both cases I was not able to exit the game normally because the ESC menu doesn't response to prssing Escape.
The only way to "fix" this is killing the process.

However in rare occosions when you want to exit supercruise and you get "stuck" an NPC can fix this by interdicting you, because then the sequence gets interrupted.

I've been getting this issue a lot when in Open, specifically. (PG not so much, solo never).

Having to kill the task is irritating (my ancient PC takes a while to recover from closing ED, and reopen it again).
I've also tried simply unplugging my ethernet cable from my PC, or switching the WiFi off on my laptop. Neither will end being stuck in Hyperspace.
So it's a force close.

I left in stuck in Hyperspace once (with zero throttle), and made a coffee, went to the loo, tidied up a bit. For 11 minutes and it was still stuck when I came back!

Please either allow using the main menu, and/or let Hyperspace detect when a connection is totally lost, and display the appropriate message.

I haven't had this happen to me recently, but yes, it should be fixed.

1) The menu should be accessible at ALL times. (I suspect the menu phones home due to the occasional lag, this needs to be fixed as well... don't do that!)
2) The game should detect disconnections when entering hyperspace/supercruise.

I've had more than a few times when I've hyperspaced three times around the galaxy or more to get to a system just 6 LY away. Nothing responds when you're in hyperspace. You only change speed because it stacks certain key presses to send when you arrive, but you have to arrive first for it to do that. Even in solo, I know when I'm arriving in a system that has a lot of players in various modes in it, the hyperspace lag becomes ridiculous.

I honestly HATE online play for this reason and I still want an offline single player version of Elite for times when lag means playing online is a bust. I don't care if I don't have the ability to port my commander over to the online game, I'd be quite happy to play ED offline. Get rid of solo play, make it offline and leave group and open as they are, I don't want to have to rely on a good internet connection with no bottlenecks to play a single player game.

Gooooooooood dammit, this issue just appeared in multicrew, the helm jumped and it stucks at 5.000secs and not even as a crew can I escape. killing the process is the only solution. Get the game to at leats notice when it's stuck.
