Enable Galnet from the Ship when in a system and also comfort while traveling.

Galnet Access from Ship
The ability to read and check the Galnet for the current system you are in, It came to mind now when im sitting and watching distance ticking down, going for 200.000+ LS and I have nothing to do and it breaks the immersion if I minimize the game and watch YouTube or Facebook or what ever, would be nice to just pop up that Galnet and read some news on whats going on. Also a more updated version of Galnet to provde more detailed information about the system you are in.

Lock Alignment With Target (Super Cruise)
This also made me think about an automatic align system, when you are heading for a station or what ever, should be the option to auto align (ship locks its center on station or what ever you have targeted) with a target. So when selecting a station, the option "Align" pops up, press space and ship align until you unlock it maybe adding a hotkey for unlock if need to unlock from the target and interdiction automaticly unlocks. This Lock Alignment will also automatic exit supercruise when Safe disengage pops up.

Faster Frame Drive charging (Only when jumping to a Star)
If there is no ships within a x LS area around you (Only from Super Cruise), and only you there, the Frame drive charging goes much much faster.

You can get to Galnet any time you like from the Powerplay screen accessible via the option at the bottom of the left hand panel (iirc). It's naff that it's labelled Powerplay but nevertheless, it is there.

Like Turner said, you can read galnet. It's hidden under powers though.

But like I just said in another thread, it would be nice if it had a spot on a panel somewhere, so it can be glanced at, rather than obscure your view entirely.

+1 for the align to target key.
But not safely dropping you. That can be automated too easily.

Hyperspace is already faster in supercruise.

While I think this is an okay idea, I've noticed that there is a level of auto-alignment going on with the station; usually occurring within 100 meters of the mail slot. Before then though this is busy-work that's been in the game since the original Elite PC games.

This is clearly an Engineering Tweak offered by Felicity Farseer and Elvira Martuuk. I'm not sure people that have actually done the RNG for them are going to appreciate this being given to everyone.

Frankly I'm ambivalent to the second (your third) suggestion. I like the thought that it's going to take time for the FSD to "warm up" enough to cause the ship to jump, and often take advantage of the moments before as method of getting into the mindset for the "in case" of something happening on the other side of the warp.
