Buildings & Attractions Enclosure ideas for variety.

Your Feature Request / Idea

Note: Some of these ideas might have been discussed so sorry in advance for being a broken record player. As I am one of those people who have no time to browse through all the threads or posts here.

I took these pictures and ideas from pinterest and google. Because honestly I am bored with JWE right now. It's not the game I imagined way back 2017 when it was first announced. I had sleepless nights just imagining and getting giddy with the though of building a new park after JPOG. Then after march's gameplay reveal I was still excited but a little dismayed. Then fast forward now after 2 mos since june I can't seem to find enjoyment playing the game anymore.

So last week I thought that I needed to go back to the roots of jurassic park so I could discover what I enjoyed about it in the first place. I tried building a park similar to the 1993 movie. But again it got stale and I wasn't quite as excited about it. I tried going back to the source material like the 1993 movie and the first novel. Then it struck me, what I enjoyed about it was the thought of BEING IN THE PRESENCE of these magnificent creatures. Then just today I figured what might make the game better.

1. IMMERSION. BUT IN FIRST PERSON. LIKE BEING ABLE TO WALK AROUND THE PARK AND RIDE THE ATTRACTIONS IN THIS VIEW.
2. ATTRACTIONS THEMSELVES! Seeing as we only have the viewing platform, gallery, gyro-ball and monorail..??? Plus using the ranger jeep as a make shift safari tour lol. Honestly every park is just like a generic zoo with a little twist here and there.

Here are my ideas for the attractions...

-A better monorail tour that's not designed for transport but it goes between enclosures in ground level. Plus the ability to LABEL OUR ENCLOSURES or PUT SIGNS OR NAME POSTS or what. It just might be a gyro-ball upgrade for some. But with this it can go through multiple enclosures as the gyro-ball is limited to one paddock per ride.

-A tunnel-like viewing gallery that GOES AROUND THE PADDOCK. Like in the JW film. We could even have a secured/caged entrance & exit to add realism. So we can see the dinosaurs moving around, hunting or grazing and not just go to a feeder in front of the gallery. We can see them stalking the guests or walking beside them.

-A more natural looking exhibit with moats (no fences). AGAIN IT'S MENTIONED IN THE FIRST NOVEL. We can then mix and match different exhibits and attractions to make the parks more alive and unique.

-We could have a connected exhibit or something like this. With different biomes featuring different plants, bodies of water and terrains. You all know what i mean. rocks, rivers, lakes, sand, cliffs, redwoods, conifers etc. Then again this is up to the creativity of the player. (but note we NEED A BIGGER SANDBOX FOR THIS, LIKE REALLY BIG).

-Then expounding on the idea of walkways we can incorporate them to go right inside the enclosures themselves. Like in JW film concept art.

-And of course the the most requested AVIARY and MARINE EXHIBITS. But again with a twist. Aviaries with the walkway inside the enclosures, again, like in the JW concept art. And like a cruise of boat ride for the marine exhibit. Or an underwater walkway or viewing dome or something.

-A safari tour that isn't the gyro-ball. Y'all know what i mean.

-And though we have hotels, we can add a different model or add some extra different building with pools or with beach cottages. Again JWE concept art, but these need again a bigger and expanded island to build upon. It just looks cool IMO.

AND LASTLY I KNOW THIS ISN'T AN ATTRACTION BUT NO EXCUSES THIS SHOULD BE IN THE GAME.

FOG. Or the occurrence of it AFTER RAIN / STORMS. C'mon Isla Nublar was named the "CLOUD ISLAND" due to it's thick FOG. It's gonna add that mysterious and prehistoric vibe to it.

50 stars given for the ideas and presentation!!

Please don’t tell me you lost interest with the game. You’re part of the reasons I hang on to the game. I stole ideas from you and having fun implementing them in my park. So…whatever you suggest regarding enclosure design I must say yes!

Really nice concepts there, so 5-star (because there's no higher mark).

Still, it is to be noted that all these should came along way better terrain tools and dino AI.

I did't try to make a "brachiosaurus' basin" and got frustrated to have no way to make a beautiful, satisfyingly accurate, realistic, river, and no attraction to properly enjoy the sauropods there. But, alas, should there have got them, they wouldn't have been that fun to watch either, because of their dumb AI.

Love the ideas and concept art. Especially moats and the boatride. Theres something special with the original Jurassic Park paintjob that hits me right in the feels. 5*

These ideas are all awesome and I would love to see all of those in the game! And the part with the fog is so true!

Really like the idea of some of these attractions - the treetop sauropod walkway and the disguised log viewing deck are my favourites.

Not sure about the moats though.... a good aesthetic maybe (and I'm sure they would exist if Jurassic World actually happened) but for the purpose of the game wouldn't this significantly reducing the chance of dino escapes? I think this would make the game less exciting.

Hmmm agreed. I'm stuck how to get around this though. You have a good point hahaha. That is what a moat is for in a real zoo. So animals DON'T ever escape. But in the context of a video game, well especially for a JP game, meh.. [haha]

In regards to moats I do not think they would be an issue since there would have be someway for rangers and new dinos to enter the enclosure meaning there would be a way out. In some cases dinos like raptors could jump the moats (raptors break into another enclosure with moats and proceeds to jump them) or even dilos spitting across at guests meaning they wouldnt be used for every type of enclosure.

Also I really really love the treetop gazers walkway. It could essentially be placed just like the monorail with two small towers on each end for entrances and maybe have place able spots for feeding sauropods or viewing platforms.

I can already imagine a whole park built around the idea of elevated path ways. The advantages being obvious but the disadvantage would be when hurricanes come through you would have to repair damaged sections of the walkways.
