Encoded Materials are still a pain to acquire... Any chance grinding for these could be reduced further?

I was told the only way to reliably acquire Encoded Materials is to basically rescan the beacons in the Jamerson Crash Site. While it is now possible to occassionally acquire some low grade Encoded Materials during regular scans, the amount of which you acquire them is still too low even for a player who scans every ship within sensor range.

Furthermore, it would be nice if Odyssey settlement data ports could also be a way to reliably find Encoded Materials, but as it stands, Settlements only give Goods and Data for on-foot upgrades and Engineers only, not any Materials that can otherwise be used for ships.

Encoded materials are now the only ones which are not handed out like big bags of sweets. You have to scan wakes to get wake scans and suchlike. Gameplay.

The irony of the way HGEs have been buffed is that they are no longer the most valuable signal sources to visit! I doubt I'll ever need to drop into one again.

I just scan wakes and trade them.

They give them away for next to nothing on many missions, not sure what the problem is.
