encoded modified embedded firmware

Hello CMDRs,

As on this date: Sept 4, 2024 (because the game changes over time)

I have been looking for missions that give the modified embedded firmware, but have not been able to find any. Has any of you done recent missions that produced this encoded material?

I have looked at regular missions and passenger missions, but have seen none. I know there is plucker relay to scan datapoints, but I am looking for missions. Also, does anybody have a list if the encoded materials that can be get from Plucker Relay. It feels uneconomic to drive around there just for one material.

There's more variety in the materials offered from missions now, but not more missions overall. So each individual material shows up less often.

I went to different systems where I have a good reputation. I see some fine materials, but not the embedded firmware. Have you seen that one recently? This one seems to be super rare, or I just am having bad luck .. ( which is quite possible, unfortunately ... lol )

Bit of both? They are a lot harder to get hold of now with the reward pool being expanded to all top grade tradeable mats for the top jobs. Similar story with biotech conductors & exquisite focus crystals, though at least abundant HGEs mean trading for them's fairly trivial if you need them.

Been getting quite a bit just from dropping into Encoded Emissions while flying around looking for hi ground CZs. But apparently just getting mats by playing the game is bad or something, so don't try it.

Have you noticed any difference to Encoded Emissions sources since the T8 update? From what I'd heard I thought they hadn't touched encoded other than Jameson's ship and the aforementioned expansion of the reward pool. I've been filling up from evac missions so hadn't felt the need to check!

I can't tell. I was on sabbatical when that ship came out. I do think we got the embedded firmware with thargoid mission, but I don't see those too much as well.

Doe Jameson have embedded that you know of?

I will give those signals a try, but they don't seem to render much. It means a lot of flying.

It drops up to G4 from that group but not modified embedded, so you can trade up, or cross trade adaptive encryptors capture, which you get a whole bunch of.

Not if you're doing those missions just to get the mat drop! No, nothing has changed with drops everywhere else except for the bits specifically touched by the last update, which is a measure of how much thought went into it.

That's what I mean by just playing. I'm not looking for them. I'm just scanning every USS on my way from place to place, any I find that I might want to investigate I just drop into them along the way. Before they put the majority of HGEs into the boondocks you could even find a lot of those too.

LOL ... There used to be missions to for the Hydras that I think paid MEF. Relogathon was successful though.

I did see a massacre mission that did pay them, but it was greyed out due to reputation. But my belly is full. Still thanks. See you on the battlefield (space). ;-)
