End Of Powerplay 1.0 Statistics

Powerplay as we know it is coming to an end, huh? Well, in that case, it is probably time to look at some statistics that may or may not be of interest to people in and outside of Powerplay.

I will go into various metrics, from system numbers to economic statistics, demographics, distances, and even space volume. Are you curious to see who “won” Powerplay 1.0? This post will not answer that question, but it will allow you to pick your own favorite metrics and see how various powers are doing. Interested? Does this seem like the nerdy stuff you may enjoy? In that case, brace for impact, this post is gonna be massive.

Thanks for this detailed analysis.

Imperial Admiral of the Fleet Denton Patreus is not a large power but sports the best net economy of all powers. Even in a full-size situation he would still be in a great position. Honestly, the only thing holding him back is probably the size of the player base.

This is greatly appreciated.

The Patreus community started in a challenging position, both in terms of geography and its small player base. There are other factors that have favored Patreus over the years, but ultimately, the Patreus community has always managed to find the leaders, pledges, and partners needed to excel with the resources available to it. While it's been a few years since I was involved with Patreus Planning, it's good to see that a tradition that was handed down to me and my team from leaders like Rubberboots has continued under LordJim.

Nice write up!

Regards the flipped systems for Utopia and Delaine:

Flipping Utopia was a lot easier as there was an abundance of suitable gov types. Delaine (although I was not involved as much) was much harder as many systems had no favourable gov type and had to be dumped in IIRC.

Also:

Utopia almost expanded to Sothis, expanded to Takurua, expanded to Maia (as noted) but also almost expanded to Jaques Station shortly before it jumped as a test. One outcome could have been a zero pop expansion (breaking Powerplays rules) or somehow Jaques being the expansion on the other side of the galaxy.....IIRC we calcualted it would have been something like -2 million CC:D

I'm not sure very sure who to pledge with in PP2. I'm pledged with Antal for years simply because enforcers are the last module I unlocked.

Lots of interesting figures, thanks for spending the time to put everything together. Especially love the Mystler Awards at the end! o7

That's pretty much sums up all things yeah, very interesting reading indeed... I reckon we've been good in building up a resilient Power in a very low density (for population) territory. Paying high CC price for any mistake, and 100% successful flipping and maintenance of our BGS required an impressive commitment by the Crew and all our allies/affiliates (= as well as, a good leadership of course :) @Bard Voronwe kudos!). YARRR!!!
