Endgame

IMO end game is after quite a loong time.
The developers would stop supporting this game, after years...
Then they will decide to get the galaxy smaller, to fit it in some Gb, you will download it to your computer and nothing will be dynamic anymore.
This is the endgame!
You can still play the game but its not alive any more!

Justa bigger version of elite II Frontier.

Well that's depressing, Elite: Dangerous will die. :(

Could be the 1957 one-act play with four characters at the Royal Court Theatre in London. Also the Presidential assassination movie in 2006, the elimination of most of the Earth’s population and the enslavement of the rest movie in 2007 or the chess movie in 2015.

For Elite Dangerous it will probably be when someone finally locates and lands on Raxxla.

The end-game is when you enter through the Gates of Heaven. They're in a place where you need a special permit. You can only get the permit when you have completed various tasks and have met all the rules of getting into heaven. The tasks and rules are not specified, but involve mainly helping everybody you can and doing no harm to anybody or anything. Also, you have to earn at least 30 billion and then give it all away to good causes.

For me "end game" was achieving A fitted and engineered Imperial Cutter. I literally stopped playing after that, now Im just looking at it in the hangar :D

End game is when Fdevs reach the end of the 10 year plan and all the bugs are ironed be out, powerplay works, engineering is not just RNG and so on. We all breath a sigh at the beauty of it and no one ever plays again!

Most MMO do have something called 'endgame', is just that it doesn't mean what people usually think it means. As I said, endgame is not game over. Endgame is when you play at the max level possible, with no further level to look forward to. This doesn't mean that you cant keep playing, but the endgame is reached, the motivation to keep playing normally drops. It is also common in MMO that once you reach the so called endgame, players start a new character to level up. Therefore is an end in the sense that you reached a limit, but also in the sense that people normally stop playing or start all over. Elite do have an endgame.
