Enemy targets vs wanted targets ?

Hi am a little unclear about the enemy targets, am sure this has something to do with power play but have not figured out how or what. Sorry let me explain keep getting interdicted by (AI) from other factions but when I kill them not seeing any money or perks associated with my current affiliated power? As always thanks for any info.

Enemy targets are people that are members of enemy factions you are not pledged to and are valid targets to shoot. You get merits and not bounties and money for them! Merits can be exchanged with your power when you get enough you get rewards etc.

Wanted are criminals you'll get bounties and money for killing them but you need to exchange the vouchers for the actual cash in the system they are criminal in.

You can shoot and kill both provided you complete you scan first! If you kill enemy ships in their factions space you'll find you'll upset that faction.

What about lawless targets? The word "Lawless" appears in red and you can shoot them down seemingly without penalty, but you gain nothing for doing so. Where do they fit in the game?

Enemy targets are ships from another faction, you can shoot them with no penalty/fines but you get nothing for doing so in one of your factions' systems. You get 15 credits for going to an enemy system, and shooting them.

Lawless means open game. This happens in Anarchy systems. As with enemy ships, you will only get a reward for downing them if they happen to have a bounty as well. Wanted is as it always has been, except that there is more likelihood that the bounty is a local one, rather than a Fed, imperial, ect. one.

Cool, that is what I was wondering, would be nice if we go something for shooting enemy factions no matter where they, I don't know maybe even give us merits for doing it.
Thanks again to all for the info.
