Engineer changes not coming in 3.0 ?

Is it just me, or is there really no mention of engineer changes in the 3.0 release announcement?

To be fair, the announcement doesn't list all changes (like planetery surface changes) but engineers overhaul seemed like a big deal to me and e.g. material traders are explicitly mentioned.

Does this mean that the major rework of engineering has been postponed or scrapped altogether?

Greetings Commanders,

We’re very pleased to announce that Elite Dangerous: Beyond - Chapter One will be released on Tuesday 27 February.

On launch day you’ll be able to jump into the cockpit of the new Chieftain, dabble with the Tech Broker and Material Trader, and discover all new improvements to Trade Data, Crime and Punishment and Megaship interactions. We will have a detailed rundown on all of the changes coming in the 3.0 Update on the forum in the near future.
Good luck out there,

Will

Where one would imagine "Engineer changes" would appear if they were going to.

Of course they're in. Most of us (?) have already used them in the Beta... Has FD really had enough time, from beta 3.0.3 to now, to undo all the Engineer stuff? There would have been a Beta 3.0.4, just to make sure the game still ran after trying to crowbar out a massive part of what they just built in

Of course its in... Major rework to remove now

I thought so too, but don't you agree that it would be weird not to mention it at all in the release date announcement, alongside C&P changes? While a minor part of engineer changes (material traders) actually is listed as an upcoming change?

Also, with less than a week to go I would expect a summary explanation of engineer changes in the news section, similar to what happened with crimes and bounties.

"Engineers" is still not a happy word for FD. I would leave it out just to avoid one more opportunity for someone to type: RNGneers.
