It would be nice to have a faction in the systems where an engineer had a base that was connected to the the engineer. This suggestion is an idea to try and make gathering materials, etc. a little less grindy, and much less vunlerable to the RNG, while still offering a challenge.

This engineer faction would offer an alternative way for a CMDR to gain reputation with the engineer by doing missions for them.
The missions could all be ones that point the CMDR towards locations or activities that are more likely to offer the materials that this engineer needs.
The faction would also offer some of the materials and commodities that this engineer uses for upgrades as rewards for doing missions for them.

The engineer faction should be pinned at 1% influence so that it doesn't otherwise affect the BGS.
