Engineers Engineer Invitations

Hi CMDRs
Is anyone else not getting invites from the engineers? I have now leveled to grade 3 with Juri Ishmaak and also with Elvira Martuuk and not had invites from Bris Dekker or Marco Qwent. It can't be my rank or reputation that's the problem (friendly with all 3 factions and rear admiral and duke),so I'm thinking it's a bug.

Any advice gladly appreciated.

You need to be ABOVE rank 3. Make ONE rank 3 item and you should get the invite.

Ok that makes sense thx. but still puzzled as you only need rank 2 with Juri and I'm rank 3....have made rank 2 kit with him.

Reddit and Inara both say rank 2,but it could be a mistake. Thx for your input. Now I just need to find a power transfer bus...:rolleyes:

Edit: Saying that,it didn't work that way with Felicty Farseer,only ever made rank 1 stuff with her and got an invite from Juri

It's a progression point you have to hit (e.g. 34% into Rank 3) not the making of the rank 3 item (was giving that as the example as it's the most efficient way), it doesn't seem to matter how you get there

think that'll work for Lei Cheung? I've gotten The Dweller to rank 3 and have used 80 markets (need 50) and still no invite
