I finally have all the materials I need for a grade three DD roll at Farseer!

Am wondering, where do I find mechanical components in the wild, that is to say, not from mission rewards? I could use one or two more so I can make a few rolls.

Like 99% sure you don't need those unless something changed from yesterday.

I've seen Mechanical Components at Dav's Hope. I didn't know about that place before I had access to Palin though.. But I don't remember where I got them, I had DD3 on all of my ships at one point.

Anyway... I like Dav's. Check it out. Plenty of videos and posts about it.

Degraded Emissions Detected and Encoded Emissions Detected USS's, if I recall correctly. Keep your eyes open at the Degraded ones, sometimes pirates will ambush you there - even (especially!) at Threat 0, be ready to close the cargo hatch, boost, and jump to SC the instant you hear the sound of someone else dropping in and you'll be fine.

Mechanical Components - look for Degraded Emissions, Combat Aftermath and even Encoded Emissions. A few of these and you'll be throwing these away to make room for other materials.

Combat Aftermaths seem to be a great place to find the various ship components if you do not want to destroy clean ships

If you can manage time to collect, CZ sites have a ton of the components floating around but only if you're part of it, no potlicking by sitting idle, you'll never see any components.
