Engineers Engineer visits again and again?

G5 Dirty Drive Tuning. I was only a few cycles away from G5 being fully complete.

A quick guess, without going into too much detail.

It could be that engineering those thrusters meant that they could no longer deal with the T-9 maximum mass. Which is OK until you removed them. Then the 'game' is saying no, they can't work on that ship, so it won't let you refit them.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Drove me nuts until I figured it out.

Sequence of events:

• Using the T9 I temporarily equipped and engineered 6A thrusters destined for a Python.
• I ran out of mats for the engineering.
• I re-equipped the T9, flew away, then returned with the mats.
• It would not allow me to equip the semi-engineered 6A thruster on the T9.

I guess Speedcuffs is right.
re-equipping the T9 (with its cargo racks?) was the problem
