Engineered Modules causing beta lockouts, how many people affected ?

apparently there going to address the issue sometime next week...... im just wondering how many people are affected by this, if its a lot, or a small amount, for those that dont know, some people who were in the beta, tried to engineer some items, and got kicked from game, and when they try to log back into beta, it crashes, frontier have stated they plan to address this next week.

if your affected please just make a quick post, so we can get a view of the size of the problem.

<raises hand>
I was in the beta for about an hour before making the fool mistake actually testing the engineering changes. Dirty Drives crashed game and can't get back in.

Yeah, that got me, too. Didn't manage to do much testing. Seems they have connected wrong modifications with the links, resulting in a module getting modifiers to stats it does not have, basically resulting in a divide by zero. Now every time you try to load up, same thing happens; tries to apply mod, does not compute, crash. Guess that's why we're doing a beta.

im trying to determine the scale of this problem, if its like tens of peoples or thousands, maybe in future frontier should impliment a system so you can reset your account to the start of beta, so that we c an carry on testing, currently there is a number of people that are simply locked out of the beta. its quite annoying for those people, especially if they, like me took time off work to mess about with beta.

Clean save if you just want to carry on. But being locked out of account is part of beta experience. Considering how complex storing commander preferences are...yeah, that is bound to happen.

That's actually not bad idea. However I think it is manual process of copying user profile over. Still...it might get scripted. Worthy FD attention.
