Engineering discrepancy?

I was under the impression that the Enigneering RNG has been removed?

I'm currently building the same ship as a friend (Krait phantom) and i'm 5-6LY short of him, even though i basically have all parts. I've checked coriolis for details and noticed that his FSD has a way higher "Optimal mass" of 1856T compared to my 1655T. Both are Grade 5 with Increased Range and Mass Manager.

Looks like he has the double engineered one

Is the FSD in question one of those given out as a reward in a CG with two engineering modifications applied?

The thermal load and "boot time" figures betray that is is a CG reward double-engineered FSD (it seems that Coriolis can't report them properly).

Welp, it seems like this was/is the case.

Are the Module Rewards still purchasable after the event has been over for a while? I think it was one of this years Community goals.

I believe that they are available from Tech Brokers.

Guess i have to find out which station i can buy it from or if i even took part of the Community goal. I definitely missed one while on a ED hiatus.

Any tech broker will have them. They cost mats/data not credits though.

The Tech broker in LHS 20 / Ohm city only shows me Guardian Modules and 3 weapons for the Fighter

Any human tech tech broker. It has been so long since I unlocked the guardian stuff that I forgot there were guardian tech tech brokers. My apologies.

Ah no problem. i Found a Human Tech broker and almost missed it thinking he also doesn't have it. Just missing some mats and i'm good to go!

Not all "HUMAN" tech broker's offer them. Those that do, all take the same materials and numbers of.

Yes of course. What I've meant was: The Human lifeform Trader that specializes on Human tech. Not the Human lifeform Trader that specialized on Guardian tech etc.

So we're clear on that.
