Engineering PvE Seeker Missiles recommendations?

Since packhounds are not an option I'm sticking to seeker missiles on my NPC pirate ship. I find the experimental effects pretty lackluster for missiles. Did some searching on engineering them and found that for PvE pretty much only drag munitions is recommended. But obviously it doesn't stack so a waste on more than one missile rack. I've got three thermal beams so using the overload munitions seems a waste too. Not too mention losing the explosive damage on the missiles and module sniping ability. Emissive munitions seems pretty useless for PvE. Thermal Cascade might be worth using on the other three missile racks. However seems wasteful since you'll do little to no damage to their shields just for some heat increase. And how much heat increase are we actually talking about per shot? Worthwhile to warrant using it? So that pretty much leaves me with the oversized experimental for the other missile racks for a weeny tiny damage increase. Am I correct in my analysis or am I missing some benefit of one of the experimentals?

With the amount of pve pirates that run away now, I'd say drag is a viable option to slow the buggers down before they run

You're not missing anything, and don't expect things to be much different with other weapons; ie a number of the effects are going to be worthless, esp for pve.

I think you are correct in your analysis, although I don't think it hurts to have drag on two of them, as one might get knocked down by a point defense.

High capacity drag munitions. Nothing else is worth it.

Thanks commanders. I think that's a good point. So I'll stick drag munitions on two and oversized on the other two for a bit more damage then.

^This.

Also, packhounds are relatively easy to obtain, and hoard.
Join LYR now. Forget about it until early February.
Then grind up 750 merits, either from the trade thingie, or just murder 25 enemy NPC's in an anarchy.
Cash in.
Buy many many many packhounds.
Quit LYR.
Done!

Thanks for the tip. Yeah I'm considering doing some power play to get those in the future maybe. Just saw how pathetic oversized is as well. Will just stick drag on all of them then.

Correct, get the Packhounds like Cosmic Spacehead suggested and put drag on all of them. [Commentary: that's powerplay and engineering for you]
