There isn't much point in worrying about weight with any of the big three, they're heavy anyway and any weight savings is a drop in the bucket.

I don't think anyone was disagreeing with this. Weight saving was only really discussed in reference to a Mamba and the benefit I saw was in power saving, not weight (more flexibility in what engineering to put on my PAs is my thought).

If I've made it look like weight savings would be of benefit to a Cutter, I've obviously misspoke as yes, this would be an exercise in pointlessness.
