After being ganked in my shiny new Cutter I need help with engineers!
Got an upgrade for my shields but, is it any good?

Grade 3 is oK-ish.
However you'd want to go for High Cap instead of Double Braced

Also, engineering the shields is only a small part of it.
To achieve the best results you also need to use at least 5 or even 6 Shield boosters and engineer them as 2x Thermal resistant with Super Cap experimental and the rest with High Capacity with Super Cap experimental. Grade 3 would be minimal, Grade 4 or 5 preferable.

Then you do need to engineer drives too (at least Grade 3, Dirty Drives with Drag Drives experiemental)

Block is as good.
Even if one might die from time to time, eventually one will learn to spot gankers before being engaged and add them to the block list.

A relog afterwards will cement the deal.

No need for Solo if the OP wants some social interaction that does not imply guns nor rams

Nope.

The OP just seeking the easiest way to play. The OP don't want to invistigate, expirement, try to understand game mechanics by own.
If the OP seeking some social then the OP could ask pilot who destroyed him about shields. But no the OP decided to inform game forum users that the OP was "ganked"...
Why the OP tells us those story? One reason - the OP has no skill to play in open.

Maybe the pilot who wiped OP's shields could have responded to the Greetings sent their way by the OP.
Also the pilot that wiped OP's shields definitely noticed they did it in only 2 salvos.
The could have stopped, take time to respond to Greetings and offer advice regarding engineering

IMO, it's not the OP that is looking for the easy way.
It's the ganker that's seeking easy kills. I mean, killing a non-engineered Cutter is surely an achievement, right?


But i guess it's always easier to blame the victim.

I’ve got 4 shield boosters, but I ran out or materials
