Description
Having experienced a tiny bit of the beta now, I think I will like most all the features except one. The feature I don't like, is what I am going to start calling engineers perma-grind. It's the feature of now having to grind each module from un-engineered to where we want.

This hurts players who are new to engineering most, but it also really upsets player who have spent tons of time unlocking grade 5 on a bunch of engineers.

I suggest one reasonable fix as a compromise which should be easy to implement. If a player has an engineer unlocked past grade 3, allow that players to start engineering new modules at grade 3 if they like. In other words make it kind of like it is now up to grade 3.

Alternatively or in addition you could also do something like NielF suggested here.

If Sandro doesn't decide do something to fix this, I fear he will have a player revolt on his hands.

Please don't just close this because it's not technically a bug. Please pass it / move it so it can be reviewed along with other similar thoughts by appropriate eyes.

Thanks for the consideration!

Its not a bug, I belive its what FD call progesive game play. (and yeah I dont understand the thinking behind this one either, if I have a engineer unlocked to 5 let him do his stuff at lv5 not 1 to 4 then 5)

Whilst it does sound annoying, it is not technically a bug. 10/10 for initiative but your suggestions do belong with the others in: Engineering-Update-Rules-and-Feedback

There are many that mirror your view there.

Of course I know that it's not TECHNICALLY a bug, but I put it here because I think it rises to the level of a bug (if not farther)! You'll see that I've asked them to move it instead of just close it if they think it needs to be somewhere else. Thanks for try to read the minds of the Frontier police though. I'm sure they appreciate it. ;)

As far at it being progressive game play, I think most players who have slaved to get engineers to level 5 will think they've already progressed past the need for this type of game play. ;)
