I need Eccentric Hyperspace Trajectories.
Where and what is the best place, or type of place to collect them? I can scan till I'm sick of it, but none at all.


Just scanned a retreat system and got 21 from (I think) one ship.

Now I need chemical manipulators.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Small tip - while visiting engineers, select blueprint, point at materials/data needed.
There is a general description how to obtain those (no specific location).

I wanted Chemical manipulators. Got help and found them.
I wanted to find Tungsten. Asked about what outcrop does it reside in. Maybe all of them. Found the first one in a meteorite, then bronzite chondite, and in an outcrop.
Well, who'da thought!

I think I was mixed up with another thread. I can't remember, but if I was, sorry!

Just one minor point - dont discard your Classified Scan Databanks until you have unlocked Ram Tah (50 CSB's required)

Sure, I am using that great app for collecting materials! But the point of my notes is to have a small paper what to discard. Quick look is faster then moving, pointing and scrolling the mouse and switching the screens. Old school :)

Righto. What works best for you is what you should use ;)

I do use 2 monitors, set up like one big wide screen. Main with ED running borderless window mode; second with ED Engineer (and TS, EDDiscovery, etc. ). Don't have to switch screens and can roll my cursor across both.

ED Engineer does have "blueprint"-like tracking for mats/data to unlock each engineer. Part of the upper righthand side blueprints list and the bottom righthand side shopping list you build by selecting which blueprints/engineers you want to collect mats/data for.

FA-ON is a SPEED mode. FA-OFF is a THRUST mode.

With FA-ON - your thrusters will maintain whatever speed you have commanded.

With FA-OFF - your throttle directly controls the amount of thrust that is being generated. To stop accelerating, close the throttle (IDLE thrust). e.g. if you are using HOTAS and toggle FA-off but your throttle lever is at 50% you will constantly accelerate at 50% thrust until you reach the speed cap. So to get your ship to stop accelerating with HOTAS you need to reset your throttle lever to 0 throttle.

Thrusters will also automatically cut off if you reach the max speed limit.

FDEV:
Thruster speed is just the defined speed for the ships flight model (adjusted for pips) modified by the thruster modules multipliers. The multiplier is either the maximum strength when the total mass of the ship is equal to or lower than the minimum mass rating; optimum when the mass is equal to the optimal mass; or minimum strength when the mass is equal to the maximum mass rating (any higher and the module is not allowed to be installed). When the mass is between either the minimum and optimal or optimal and maximum mass ratings it just linearly interpolates a modifier between maximum and optimal strength or optimal and minimal strength respectively.

Thus when a ship is underweight it'll have the maximum multiplier resulting in higher speeds than default. Likewise a heavy ship will have the minimum multiplier and thus a lower speed than default.

A ship exactly the same weight as optimum mass rating for a module that also has an optimal multiplier of 1.0 will fly at exactly its default flight speed as defined in it's flight model.

All numbers are affected by the multipliers equally. So if you end up with a multiplier of 1.1 then both speed and turn rates and acceleration will be affected by this number.

The only exception are the new enhanced thrusters that have a slightly different set of multipliers for turn rares compared to acceleration or speed so in those cases you might end up with different multipliers for each aspect based on mass.

The number are only showing one set of multipliers and mass limits. The modules themselves have three sets of multipliers and masses, one for speed, acceleration and turn rates respectively .

FIGHT

1- Full pip to thrust
2- full pitch back and full vertical thrust down
3- temporary Flight Assist off to further angular speed increase
4- fire solution acquired and start firing
5- as the weapon capacitor/heatsink starts depleting flight assist on again and three pips on Weapons.

if target != dead go to 1.
Rinse repeat.

FSD

5% max fuel per jump equals 2% optimized mass

SHIELDS

Disable all the shield boosters when you loose shield so that they come back online faster and then re-enable the boosters when shields are back online.
