Engineers Engineers visual, printable guide

Hi everyone, long time listener, (almost) first time caller.

I made this chart to help navigate the engineer paths and unlock requirements. Some info is missing (e.g. Ls from star), but I'd appreciate some feedback to make the final version of this chart better.

EDIT: thanks everyone for the feedback, here's an updated version with fewer mistakes. Also, I've added a key/legend section so I can use a whole page for the next guide.

EDIT2: Small fixes (two of the engineers had incorrect ranks)

Palin is on the planet A 3 A. Basically the moon of the 3rd planet, of the top row. not in game currently, otherwise i would check LS.

I also got him through a bug, altho i am not sure if it is repeatable or not to get him through it. still have to check to see if i can
get him this way, and not through marco

Lucky you managed to skip the Sirius Corp/Modular Terminals grind. I'll fly out to Maia later to check the distance to A 3 A, thanks.

Cheers, but you might want to hold off for a bit, I see a few mistakes have slipped by (Lei Cheng is currently listed as being in Eurybia, oops)

Engineers offer up to 5 tiers of upgrades, with higher tiers associated with better performance for harsher trade-offs. Not all engineers are able to tinker up to Rank 5, hence the numbers. e.g. Prof. Palin can only offer Rank 3 upgrades for FSDs, but he's the only one who can engineer Thrusters to Rank 5 (making him one of the most sought after engineers)

Basically what i did was, Went the 5k LYs out. and then I scanned the system and He popped up. Altho previousally i have handled an UA and scanned Merope's main star. Also had the sirius permit. So maybe if you can check those off or make sure before doing so, we might be able to find a repeatable process.
I also went back and got marco for the hell of it. the modular terminals were easy to get

Needs more colour. Had a thought to do something similar; was going to steal the pictures from this as a starting point:

I have a theory on that. If they released all the engineers now, they'd all be stuck on airless worlds. Unless they relocated.

Interesting... knowing my luck, the Modular Terminals grind will kill me, so I'll try to replicate this

Good question, as far as I'm aware, these 15 engineers are the only ones in the game at the moment. I do remember hearing rumours about Thargoid engineer from datamining.

While it would be to see the portraits and have some colour, I intended these charts to be able to be printed on any standard inkjet printer for convenience. I might make a much nicer looking one in the future for people with access to decent printers. Thanks for the feedback

Also, look at it this way. if you can't unlock him the way i did, or i find out that i found a bug.............. at least you got the meeting requirement for palin out of the way, should you find that you need Marco.

Thanks for a very useful sheet. It helped me to unlock 7 engineers to level 5. It's great to be able to see all that info at a glance.

What we need now is somebody to figure out the easiest and quickest route to unlock them all to level 5. What I figured out is that it's better to go for the fastest route to level 5 and then get the mod you want rather than working your way through the lower level mods with ones you want, i.e. don't go level one overcharged weapon, level 2 overcharged weapon, etc. Instead, go lightweight mount, sturdy mount, etc, and then get only level 5 over-charged weapon.
