Horizons Enhanced Thruster Locations? Where to park on Wednesday...

I'd like to know where to park my iCourier on Wednesday night ready to pick up the engines when 2.1 goes live.

Anyone able to confirm the different locations, with engineers? Or will they be different when it goes live...

Khun is home to an engineer base. Last I checked they were the only places selling the enhanced drives. Don't know if anything will change for live.

in beta, they have been available from fraseer inc., deciat system. It is unsure, which engineer-places will be the same in beta and livebuild.

also i don't know, whether fraseer is the only engineer, who sold them/will sell them, or if all engineers specialized on thrusters sell them.

and then, you first need an invite from the engineer...

if you ask me (which is what i will do if i make it back to the bubble with my main account i time): position yourself in a lightweight travelling courier outfit in the middle.

Knowing Frontier, the locations of 'known' beta engineers would change at official release. Plus there will be lots and lots and lots of other engineers added. I hope they also sneak in some surprises and/or hard to find engineers.

Did anyone tried the enhanced thrusters 3A in Beta with Cobra MK3 or similar instead of its normal 4A? Could this be a viable option?

The maximum mass for the 3A enhanced thrusters is 200T, you can only get a Cobra under that weight by fitting D core modules and almost nothing else. Do-able but not practical.

also, the speed bonous of those enhanced thrusters ends at 119T --- and a cobra mkIII has already 180T hullmass.

Thank you both. So it seems that if you want to also carry some cargo with enhanced thrusters (smuggling of course - if any after 2.1), the Imperial Courier remains the only option. At least until we'll have access to level 5 engineers and enough materials... I would love a 600 m/s Cobra MK3 with 25 ly jump ladden.

Its probably gonna be all the engineers that are doing thruster, but you maybe can't just go there straight away. You first need an invite from the engineer, otherwise they won't let you dock and shoot you out of the sky should you try getting close.
