Newcomer / Intro Enjoy Hauling - No Hauler Mission

I am reaching the end of my first week playing the game. I've been loving it so far. When I had my Sidewinder I did nothing but hauling missions point A to point B and if I had any cargo room available I used Thrudds trading tool to transport a few extra commodities. Almost every destination I hit had at least a basic hauling mission available. But now that I have purchased/upgraded an Adder I can't find any hauling missions. I've hit several systems and nothing. Most of the time there's usually no missions available at all. Just a list of "Available But Unobtainable Missions".

My ship is the Adder. Only 12 cargo space for now, but more than what I had with the Sidewinder. I like being able to hop into the game, accept a quick hauling mission buy a few commodities and go on my way. I'm not really enjoying the combat aspect. I'm neutral/rankless with all factions which I know some mission can't be taken because I'm not trusted. But I'm not even seeing Unobtainable hauling missions anymore.

TLDR: Upgraded to Adder. No longer being offered hauling missions. Am I missing something? Should I sell the Cargo Racks, buy back weapons and try the life of a pirate?

Sorry if this question has been asked/answered numerous times. I did try searching and I also read through the newcomers FAQ.

The missions offered is random according to what status the factions are in at the time. You may be in a quiet sector, or a new area you have not gained any rep in so missions are scarcer, or just randomly not getting the missions you want (it happens to all of us). Try hauling your own cargo or accepting some of the other missions.

The friendlier you are with a system the more missions they will give you.

Go to a brand new system, they don't know you, don't trust you, far fewer missions to choose from. You've got to start doing stuff in their system to gain rep then they'll start giving you more.

Elite is about exploring but also about settling down in a system you call 'home'.

It does appear it was just bad luck as missions seem to be appearing again. And thanks for the tips on faction, I'll try to gain some more trust in the universe :)
