I've held on as long as I can.... I quit this is a shambles. been a fan since the 80s but enough is enough.

I'm not sure which impresses me more, that everyone quitting the game feels the need to make a public announcement about it, or that we have so many people who claim they quit Elite yonks ago but still hang about the forums with their sacks of salt...

I always rage quit, as for quitting for an extended period the longest I have gone with no elite since 1984 is only six weeks
playing frontier elite 2 on my amiga 1200 occasionally were my year in game is 3787 (gota love outlawed class 3 military drives wish I still had one in this version leaving for a system days after your prey has left(jump cloud scan) and getting there days before them)
there is a making of elite 84 you tube vid by famed presenter peter snow in which he says "you can play for days!" in a time when you could play other games for minutes with 3 lives
