So I cant afford the interdiction module so I decided to do some cartografy instead. I've mapped many systems, worth tens of thousands of creds and I'm currently heading 2++ lightyears away so I can sell it. Only along the way I discover more and more systems, so my library grows larger and larger. And I keep getting interdicted but I usually escape, but not always. The value of my maps keeps growing, but enough is never enough. I need more, and as I venture further into the unknown pirates try to get me.

I have no idea if I will survive to sell my maps, but if I do I will be...ok if not rich then at least I can buy some serious guns.

As an explorer I understand what you mean. With the need to get 20LY from the discovered system to sell its data to cartographics, it is so easy to keep stockpiling more information on new systems as they come along.
