I have a large multi-species African savanna habitat with multiple keepers assigned. Many of the food enrichment isn't being filled. For example: the giraffe feeder and forage enrichment have never been filled. While the fruit pole and the forage box (for ostrich and warthog) regularly are filled. The filled and unfilled are near eachother. The keepers pile food near the enrichment. Food grade 3. Land is flat and navigable. Any ideas? More keepers?

Are there enough animals that can use the enrichment? Keepers will only feed a certain amount of food per animal. For example - when I get all of the enrichments for snow leopards and just have two of them to use these, the keeper will just fill up the blood pumpkin, but never other enrichments or even food tablets, because it is just too much food for two leopards.
And giraffes have very special enrichments other animals can't use. When your giraffes get offspring, their amount of food will be increased and keepers will then fill up other enrichment items for them.

I guess it could be. Without knowing how many animals a piece of food enrichment covers i acne only guess. I think I have one of each type of giraffe food enrichment (1 feeder and 1 hanging feeder). I have 6 adult giraffe and their varying numbers of subsequent offspring. Both show that they've never been used, even once. Your explanation very likely could explain this same thing with some of the other species. I would have thought 6 adults would have required more than 1 feeder, especially when they are eating off the ground. I have made other zoos with the same number of animals and at least 1 more feeder, and not had any issues with them getting filled.
