There seems to be an interesting dynamic going on where people confuse these two concepts. Take for example the players who come here with posts like "I PLAYED 5000 HOURS AND NOW IM BORED!!!111!! GAME SUX!" and the other group, "I'v played 100 hours and its really hard to figure out is going on but I'm having fun" I think some people invest so much time into elite that they start to believe it owes them something more than entertainment. It's a just a video game though so it cannot provide fulfillment. I think these poor confused souls are doing the game a disservice with their attitudes. Games are just an interactive alternative to TV. If you are not entertained, change the channel.
