Whilst sweeping the galactic map in 'map' mode looking for to find one system in the middle of nowhere, to see if I could find Jaques, I spotted a tny blue blow 30kly away on the far side of the core. On looking closer I found it to be a Black Hole in a nebula. I did a few searches but could not find reference to it. I wondered if this was a known object or not?

Sweet! A new (ish) black hole!
The nebula is the expanding cloud resulting from the supernova that, among other things, created the black hole. (it is also the process by which everything in the universe heavier than iron is created).

I looks like the cloud is less than 10 ly across, which means that the supernova is less than 500 years old. So it should not be in any current catalogs, as it didn't exist until 2800.
