I settled on 3 free accounts.. only have logged in with one of them though.
Its a real shame about platform authentication junk. It would be nice if we could apply for classic access for new purchases via a support ticket or something.

It's like when Facebook claim "half the world has a Facebook account".
My sister-in-law has a Facebook account.
So does her cat.
So do her fish.
Her car has one too.
So does her camper-van.
Unless I've been completely misled about the way the world works, neither her cat, her fish, her car or her camper-van are capable of registering their own Facebook accounts.
I'm sure there's a lot of "casual" ED players who only ever make do with 1 account but I'd bet that at least half ED "veterans" have more than one account.
Course, given that ED claims (IIRC) around 15k "regular players" that'd mean there's probably only an extra 7.5k alt-accounts so it'd only add a small number to the overall number of registrations.
Personally, I'm not bothering with the latest thing simply cos dealing with Epic Games would make me feel like I need to bathe in bleach.
