Epic games updated fine, the launcher starts and tells me to update after I have logged in with Epic. It is now stuck on 0%. Anyone any tips? The support forums have nothing

open old internet explorer(pc start menu) and reset everything in there to default
use the taskmanager to monitor disk activity to see if it is actually down loading but very slowly
else try some of the launcher options like the cache

It's not Epic specific - my Steam install stuck there for 10 minutes. I stopped paying attention for a while and at some point it started. (The second odd thing here is others on the forum have posted about Steam doing an update the Steam way, not via the launcher)
Fixed by verifying the files in Epic, but thanks for the tip!
