I bought for free ED from Epic Games today. I installed it but it corrupted my exisitng launcher and now keeps asking me to log in when I lauch the launcher. I uninstalled epic games launcher. I would like to know how to puit things back as they were. If I launch from steam all is good and my current commander seems fine but I would like my launcher back. Dont know why I bought it - or was it because it is free.

It is so complicated to play a game these days. I only want to install the game on my hard drive and play. Instead I have steam and launchers and other complications. I bought ED from Epic because it was free and I fancied having another account. Steam and Epic seem to just hijack your gameplay to sell you stuff. What benefit is steam to actually playing the game?
