Epic Launcher Default change

Is the Epic launcher going to default to Oddessy at some point? I removed the previous legacy load some time ago and the update was 27GB yesterday which obviously loaded legacy again. My steam account is good and so is frontiers, so it's just Epics with the issue.

Just saw this, somewhat related post I made in a thread about Legacy Steam players.
[...]
Since update 15, Epic wants to re-download 20.6 GB, if I'm not mistaken that's the exact size of the Legacy folder I deleted to free up space.
I managed to circumvent Epic by launching Elite with a python script that opens a browser window with a basic HTML page that has my auth code, which I copy and paste into a python text box, which then sends that info to the Frontier Launcher, which only updates whichever version is selected.

Since the Launcher Update, I'm not sure if the python script is actually necessary anymore, but the two times I've tried to open the Frontier Launcher without it, it has asked me for a product key, so maybe it is.[...]

I'll try and find the reddit post I found that python script in.

To answer your question, I'm sure that Epic will eventually default to Live only, but game updates via Epic have always seemed to lag behind Steam or their native launchers.

Thanks but doesn't work
Did you make sure you were logged in to the correct Epic account in your default browser, as well as that the path to your "EDLaunch.exe" is correct in line 4?

I mean, it does work, I've been using it for months, it's how I updated the last two updates without the Epic Launcher.
It's how I logged in last night, and I just used it again right now.

Just trying to give you alternatives to Epics' garbage launcher, I'm sorry if it doesn't work for you.
