Epic Store - Can't Log in into Elite Dangerous

Hello there everybody,

Just wanted to post sort of a bug since I cannot enter the Elite Dangerous game from your account when had acquired it from Epic Store, although I had a prior Frontier account coming from Steam and tried to use that account's ifo to log into your game. It provided me an error that I "should acquire the game 1st" or something similar.
Now, I'd like this issue sorted out because no matter from where I started a Frontier account (for Elite Dangerous) it shouldn't matter when coming into your own company's launcher.

Can't they let you sign in to Epic?

I've had this to but it always sorted itself out after 5 minutes or so. Exit and try again, repeatedly.

When you say you tried it on Steam do you have a 2nd account there? I ask because i had an occasion where I had the wrong account linked to it when I started up the game. I have 1 acct on Epic and another on steam.

If all else fails the Tech Support can help you.

No, I only have an account upon Epic and another upon Steam. And no matter how many times I try to reboot as you instructions guide me it still presents me the same error.

So, by my books, another viable and definite solution and/or intervention from Frontier's behalf is in order by now.

In that case you need to raise a support ticket (make a request) at:

Submit a request – Frontier Support

customersupport.frontier.co.uk customersupport.frontier.co.uk

P.S. You do know you can unlink your Frontier account from Steam? - (it is in one of the pages of your Frontierstore account)

P.P.S. Re-reading your OP makes me think that you might actually want to be able to use both the Steam and the Epic commanders. If that is the case then you need a separate Frontier account for each - so a new Frontierstore account using a different email.

I've already unlinked it from Steam eons ago and got it from Epic later on. So, I'm kinda lost here as to why Frontier denies me to access the game, which I've own at least upon Epic.

Epic is not letting me log in either. It worked yesterday. Now I get an endless loop of verification emails and then a red box, when I put that code in, telling me to purchase/redeem the game (even though I've been playing for months, since the free game offer).

I wish there were some way to switch the stored Commander data from Epic direct onto FDev like my main. Having to go through the Epic launcher first, only to be presented with an FDev launcher, is kind of crazy.

Buy a FD account and ask support to switch over your CMDR?

That's the price of receiving a free gift. ;)

At least the Fortnite disturbance gave you the opportunity to spam "EPIC FAIL" ... LOL

tho I am unsure and would not rec trying if you use the same purchase e mail and login name for your newly acquired/purchased fd account..............
rights to use the fdev launcher only will be permitted for said purchase e mail and login name

best do it the proper way(not fuzzy logic) and just submit a request/confirmation tho
