Hang on a minute...Princess Leia also had the force and did not die in the film. Unfortunately they confirmed they will not use CGI of her in the next film but surely her character must also die for Luke to become the last!

To be completely serious about is, though, the title really doesn't tell us anything.

1) plural of Jedi is Jedi
2) not every force user is Jedi (or Sith) Rey, for example, isn't.
3) Force users in new republic/empire era aren't real Jedi in general, anyway. Even Yoda, Mace and the likes are just kids playing with laser swords, compared to the old masters. The true Jedi training was lost with the fall of old republic and only partially recovered over the centuries. The only Jedi master who was truly connected to the force, yet his power squandered by poor training and restrictions was Qui-Gon Jinn. He was the REALLY last Jedi.

:p

Probably should be pointed out that they don't call themselves Siths anymore either, as I understand it. Knights of Ren, I believe? As in Kylo Ren? Supreme Leader Snoke isn't a Sith either.

From Wookiepedia:
The Knights of Ren was a dark side organization that operated under the command of Snoke, the Supreme Leader of the First Order. Kylo Ren was a member of the organization.

However it should be noted that the crazy people who are deeply into the Star Wars franchise and read all the books etc, and know this Wookipedia like the back of there hand happen to believe Supreme Leader Snoke is Darth Plagueis who went into hiding after his apprentice "killed" him. That apprentice of course being Darth Sidious, or Palpatine.

I don't think these things are all that much connected. Knights of Ren mostly aren't even force users, apart from Kylo himself.
But yes, it seems that the term Sith died with the old Emperor and Darth Vader, which is probably a good thing. The original trilogy was too "tairy-tale shaped" - they needed to distinguish between "Good" and "Evil" and Sith, however originally being a Sith haven't automatically meant you are a bad person, were a great candidate.

Being a fan of the Old republic and beyond, I always felt bad for the Sith. They are in similar position as Blood mages in Dragon are series. A couple of bad apples and everyone's looked at through the fingers.

Whatever the title I just hope episode 8 injects some much needed originality into the series. Although The Force Awakens was well made I was massively disappointed by the complete story rip off from A New Hope. It was almost a carbon copy.

For the record I think Rogue One has been the best of the 'new' movies outside of the original trilogy, very enjoyable.
