tried to purchase the scarab and recieved the message "something went wrong, contact support, error:401" now i cant purchase the landing suite or modules, anyone else encounter this?

Just got this error ad well. Finding no fix yet. X1 EDH
As a note I was able to previously purchase this with gunship, test worked. Then went to do this on the python and at first bay was missing, reset everything game crashed reset and the bay was there, but get the error when I attempt to purchase scarab

Yep, same here. Worked fine on the D-back scout, but I get the error every time in the Cobra IV. Very annoying.
I have had this error a couple of times, I just had to restart the game.
Try posting as much information about what happened leading up to the error and any other information in a bug report here.

I had this just after purchasing Horizons the other day. There seems to be something strange going on with the new vehicle module. Initially I couldn't find one anywhere after flying to many stations.
Anyway on the 401 problem itself I did the 'clear the cache' shutdown on the Xbox and restarted. I've not had any issues since.

Reloading the game fixed the error for me.
Same. I've only had this issue once but a quick reboot fixed it.
