Odyssey and Horizons Patch - 03/06/2021
Greetings Commanders! A patch and its change list will arrive tomorrow at 09:00 BST (08:00 UTC) with one hour of expected downtime. It contains many fixes and improvements for Odyssey: UI, optimisation, and much more! Horizons will also receive some improvements. o7

Don't believe everything the Launcher says
.Basically, your problem is widespread - and due to ED's server architecture. ED uses Amazon's AWS for their server infrastructure. That "client is too new" indicates that you have updated your client, but the update hasn't yet propagated through all the servers (multiple) your client wants to connect to. Especially for the US (from what I read on the forums) this can take some time.
XD I just saw this post (I was watching Mentour Pilot on YouTube). Right after seeing this post, I looked over to the game and low and behold, it was running.Don't believe everything the Launcher says
