History
ECF began on 7 March, 3226, by Commander J Dawes. Dawes left the Imperial Navy in 3216 after watching Imperial Pilots destroy a ship filled with slaves, with no remorse for the slaves. Dawes tried to join the Federal Navy, but was not satisfied with their anti-slavery operations and wished for better results. Dawes spent time studying in the Bishama system, and eventually opened Erudite Colonial Forces.
ECF began with just a few ships patrolling systems, fighting pirates and raiders. ECF started running missions to destroy pirate bases, and eventually gained a good reputation with the local factions in Bishama. Bishama was soon able to get rid of its pirate issue, thanks to ECF.
ECF started as a few wings with a common goal. As more and more slaver strongholds were being found, ECF needed to grow. In 3231, ECF began a massive propaganda mission known as the "Program Hopeful." ECF grew to hundreds of members, which boosted anti-slavery missions to an all time high.
With the rise of members in ECF, and issues occurring on planet surfaces, ECF Marines were formed. The Marines was a way to successfully engage in ground combat, and keep an organized unit. After the success of 2 marine units in countless special ops, the Praetorians were formed. The Praetorians were a special ops unit based on ground combat.
In 3256, ECF launched a massive assault on a ground stronghold controlled by Pirates. ECF Marines stormed the compound and killed over 300 slavers, at the cost of only 2 injured ECF Marines. Over 700 people were rescued from the bastion and sent to Clarke Dock to start a new life.
In 3302, ECF pushed a major offensive against the slavers in the outer system HIP 1185. Slaves were being keep on a hidden asteroid base known as Mikes Rock. ECF Praetorians(ECF Elite Units) entered undercover on a Dolphin, infiltrated the slave containment area, freed and then armed the slaves, and led a revolution on the station. The slaves then took control and formed Black Emblem Company, an ally of ECF.
