Taking the escape pod returns you (on foot) to "your last safe location". This is a station with a shipyard, so you can get your ship to come there. But, if you last landed on your own Fleet Carrier, does it return you there? Or does it only go to starports?

Newcomer / Intro Escape pod from someone's fleet carrier

As the last place you docked at is the carrier you are escaping from it should be a starport however I am not clear on which port it will be out of last docked or nearest.
I have used an escape pod which took me to a ground base which was both the nearest and the last one docked at.
Actually as I had hit the bug that essentially forgets you flew to the carrier in a ship which is then not present/accessible I might technically not have landed on the carrier.

To add another data point, I used an escape pod on my own carrier a couple of times recently, from 9 or 10k LY out, and both times returned to Jameson Memorial - the last port I docked at but definitely not the nearest.
Not possible at present, unfortunately, which is why I asked, in case someone already knows (simplest way to gain knowledge, education). I'm back in the Bubble, my ship is 80+ jumps away at the Great Annihilator with cargo in it, so cannot test currently.
TLDR: No, it only goes to starports (Caution - in this test case, n=1)
Test Conditions: I launched from my carrier, then docked with it, switched ships, launched and went to another carrier in the same system, landed, disembarked, went to the escape pods and pulled the handle.
Result: I arrived on foot at the last station I docked, 231 LY away...
